HECO’s annual offering is set for Oct. 1-2 in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – HECO, Inc.’s annual Reliability, Process, & Maintenance (RPM) Symposium will return to Kalamazoo, Michigan, in 2024. The two-day event focuses on reliability in industrial processes and is scheduled for Oct. 1-2 at The Radisson Plaza Hotel, 100 W. Michigan Ave., Kalamazoo, Michigan, 49007.

The conference-style event features industry leaders speaking on topics related to maintenance best practices, electric motor driven powertrains, Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) solutions, methods to increase reliability in industrial facilities, and more.

HECO and partnering sponsors will present educational breakout sessions designed to provide new techniques and processes for improvement. The sessions are designed for maintenance technicians and professionals within the Midwest, East Coast, and Southern regions of the United States.

“We’re excited to offer our RPM Symposium and build upon the success of our past offerings,” said HECO President Justin Hatfield. “Since 2014, our ‘must attend’ conferences have connected thousands of manufacturers and industry leaders over the years and this event promises to continue that tradition!

“Sharing new techniques and processes for improvement in the field of reliability and maintenance is one of our passions at HECO. Alongside our knowledgeable sponsors, exhibitors, and speakers, we look forward to helping attendees better understand and manage their industrial processes and help increase profitability for their companies.”

Thomas Wilk, Editor-in-chief of Plant Services, will serve as this year’s kickoff keynote speaker. His presentation entitled “10 Years After: A Snapshot of How Reliability and Maintenance Have Changed Over Time” will highlight technologies that have changed asset management the most as well as the best maintenance practices that guide their application.

Frequently presenting at leading maintenance and reliability events, Wilk joined Plant Services in 2014 and guides its focus on smart solutions for reliable operations. Before that role, he served as Lead Technical Writer and IMC Manager for Panduit.

The 2024 RPM Symposium is open to anyone interested in learning more about maximizing the reliability of rotating equipment. As a thought leader in the industry, HECO’s goal is to share influential solutions and maintenance best practices for small and large businesses.

The 2023 event in Lexington, Kentucky, welcomed more than 300 attendees from 126 companies and featured 38 educational presentations and tours.

Registration for the RPM Symposium is free for attendees until Sept. 15. After that date, registration will cost $150 per attendee.

Conference hours will be 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 1, and 8 a.m.-12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 2.
