Find Resonance Condition

Besides everyday vibration routes and basic analysis, along with corrective actions, HECO Predictive services group also offers more advanced analysis for problematic application. These technologies consist of:

Testing (Bump test) to find natural frequency (resonance condition)

Modal Analysis for Powertrain

Modal analysis for electric motors & powertrain is the field of measuring and analyzing the dynamic response of structures under an (known) external force analysis. The results can also be used to correlate with finite element analysis (FEA) normal mode solutions.

Operating Deflection Shape (ODS)

ODS analysis is a method used for visualization of the vibration pattern of a machine or structure as influenced by its own operating forces. This is as opposed to the study of the vibration pattern of a machine under an (known) external force analysis, which is called modal analysis.

Root Cause Failure Analysis

This is a specialized field that we have been providing service in for more than 20 years. We provide this service for several motor manufacturers and HVAC manufactures that use electric motors in North America and provide reporting for quality control of their product lines, well as provide this same reporting to our day-to-day customers. We provide written reports with photos, measurement documents for mechanical fits and specialized electrical testing to provide the real cause of the failure and will provide suggestions to keep failures from reoccurring.
