HECO Acquires Kentucky Service Co. of Lexington, KY - HECO

Kalamazoo, Michigan – HECO All Systems Go (HECO), an electric motor and performance systems company that specializes in optimizing electric motor driven powertrains, is excited to announce that it has acquired Kentucky Service Co. Inc. of Lexington, KY.

Kentucky Service Co. was founded in 1968 by Charles Moore and Ronald Riggs. Since the early 1970’s the company has established itself as a leader in sales and service of electric motors, pumps, and other rotating equipment. Kentucky Service Co. provides not just in-shop repair but also predictive maintenance, onsite repair or removal of equipment, and designing or upgrading a complete system. For the last few decades, the company has been owned and operated by the founder’s sons C. Doug Moore (who served as EASA International Chairman from 2014-2015) and Robin Riggs. An additional partner, Charles Bailey was added in the 2010’s.

Kentucky Service Company will now operate as “HECO Kentucky Service Company” with the present staff at it’s current location on Maggard Drive in Lexington, KY. The current shareholders of Kentucky Service will continue to serve in various capacities.

HECO – All Systems Go is a third-generation family business that was started as an electric motor repair shop in 1959. Since then, HECO has not only expanded into large medium and high voltage motor repairs (up to 25,000HP+, 15KV) but also into the sale or new and surplus equipment, condition monitoring (route based or IIoT), and equipment management.
