Electromagnetic Transverse Pole Chuck

The poles of the Electromagnetic Transverse Pole Chuck sold by HECO and Fife-Pearce features poles of a chuck run across the chuck from side to side.

Pole spacing in the smaller chucks, up to 10 x 24 inch, is generally 1/4 inch magnetic steel and 1/16 inch nonmagnetic stainless steel.

Pole spacing of 1/4 inch magnetic and 1/8 inch nonmagnetic steel is used in the larger chucks.
