HECO at Manufacturing in America 2016 - HECO
March 2, 2016
KALAMAZOO, MI – HECO All Systems Go is excited to announce that we will be exhibiting and presenting at Manufacturing in America 2016. This event takes place from March 23-24, 2016 at Ford Field in Detroit, MI.
Regional manufacturing technology firm Electro-Matic Ventures, Inc. in collaboration with global engineering and electronics giant, Siemens, present this event. Together, we invite you to join over 2500 manufacturing executives, engineers, and enthusiasts to learn about the newest technologies, share best practices and ideas, and be a part of advancing the future of manufacturing.
This two-day event brings top decision-makers in automotive and related industries together with the brightest minds and visionaries in manufacturing technology. The genesis and ongoing theme of the event is “Community. Collaboration. Innovation.” At stake is the transfer of leading edge technology to designers, engineers and executives in manufacturing, operations and facilities management that will leverage America’s growth position.
Throughout both days, the event will host more than 100 seminars and over 50 exhibitor booths presenting successful technology solutions. This year’s seminar schedule includes four learning tracks: Automation and Controls Engineering; Drives and Motion; Energy and Facilities Management; Plant Engineering and Maintenance.
As part of the Plant Engineering and Maintenance track, our very own Todd A. Hatfield, Vice President of Engineering and Repair at HECO, will be presenting on Repairing Electric Motors for Reliability. This course will help you obtain a basic understanding of induction electric motors: From component parts and types to what information the motor nameplate actually provides. Learn about operating characteristics such as Torque, NEMA designs, Starting conditions, and the operating parameters that impact motor life. Learn about common failure types and detailed failure investigations and finally see proven engineering design assessments that lead to solving motor problems and providing longer motor life.
This event includes an energetic exchange of ideas, fascinating product demonstrations, and interactive fun. Take a few swings in the golf simulator or a behind-the-scenes tour of Ford Field. Kick field goals down on the playing surface. Network at the aſter-show receptions on Wednesday and Thursday. Last year more than 2,300 attended Manufacturing in America. Organizers anticipate a crowd of more than 2,500 for this year’s event.
There is no charge for admission to Manufacturing in America #MiA2016 or any of its events, courtesy of Electro-Matic and Siemens, but registration is required.
