Coronavirus (COVID-19) - HECO is an essential business to Critical Infrastructure - HECO
March 23, 2020
To Our Clients,
We understand that all of you are like us and trying to stay up-to-date on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) national emergency. We are all juggling personal and professional needs during this uncertain time.
HECO is an essential business and part of the USA’s Critical Infrastructure Sectors (CISA) as determined by the US Department of Homeland Security (https://www.cisa.gov/critical-infrastructure-sectors). Despite state required “stay at home” edicts – due to being part of CISA, if your industrial plant or facility is still running and needs us 24/7 – we are here! We remain ready!
Our repair shop is still operating and repairing both standard and priority/rush jobs. Our inventory of new and surplus electric motors and VFDs are ready to ship. Our predictive maintenance technicians are available to travel to your site to help keep your machines running. Our equipment management warehouses are continuing to maintain your spares and deliver them to you 24/7. Our personnel and trucks are required to be in the field in order for us to keep the country moving. We operate throughout Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and Pennsylvania.
Although there has been very limited effect on our industry thus far, we expect to encounter stock shortages and extended transit times from our suppliers and more and more people do not go to work. We will do our best to keep you up to speed on your jobs and orders if/as things change.
Like most of you, we are taking the necessary precautions within our organization and trying to do our part to stop the spread of this virus. Travel is becoming more complicated everyday so please be patient with us as we navigate through the temporary restrictions that are changing daily.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you require any assistance – emergency or otherwise.
Respectfully Submitted,
Justin T. Hatfield
