Parallel Blocks & V Blocks
HECO and Fife-Pearce offer Parallel Blocks and V Blocks. These magnetic chuck accessories help expand the versatility of magnetic workholding systems for grinding, machining, inspection, and other industrial applications.
Designed to transfer magnetic holding power above the chuck surface, these accessories make it easier to secure workpieces with unusual shapes, sizes, or positioning requirements.
Available Magnetic Chuck Accessories include:
- Blocks for elevating and positioning workpieces above the magnetic chuck surface.
- Parallel Blocks for elevating and positioning workpieces above the magnetic chuck surface.
Both block types are furnace brazed to prevent them from coming apart when machined, sawed, or formed. The laminations consist of 1/16-inch iron and 1/16-inch stainless steel for high magnetic permeability.
Parallel and V Blocks can hold odd shapes and sizes for grinding or inspection, increasing the versatility of magnetic chucking equipment. They extend the chuck’s magnetic holding power above the working surface. Auxiliary plates can also be made to match the pole dimensions of an existing chuck with either horizontal or vertical poles.
